Originally from Natchez, Mississippi, Lorenzo Smith brings a strong foundation in advocacy, communication, and client service to his role as an Associate Attorney with The Dennis Law Firm. His passion for the legal profession stems from a desire to help individuals navigate difficult moments with confidence, compassion, and effective representation.
Lorenzo earned his undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from Jackson State University, where he developed a passion for storytelling, leadership, and community engagement. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, where he served in leadership and fellowship roles focused on professional development, mentorship, and strategic partnerships.
During law school and throughout his legal career, Lorenzo gained experience in personal injury litigation, legal research, client advocacy, and case management. His background includes assisting attorneys with litigation strategy, drafting legal memoranda, discovery review, and client communications across a variety of practice areas. Through these experiences, he developed a strong appreciation for the impact dedicated legal representation can have on individuals and families during challenging times.
Lorenzo is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and the proud father of a six-year-old daughter, Paisley, who continues to inspire his commitment to hard work, integrity, and service.
Outside of his legal practice, Lorenzo values relationship-building and community involvement. He is passionate about sports, family, vintage cars, movies, and music.
